Will The FFA Get Me Banned From Google?
The webmaster's nightmare. "Oh my God, my listing has disappeared from Google!" or yahoo, or msn or any of the big search engines.
We all know that traffic is the lifeblood of any online business. Without traffic, you can't make sales. Search engine traffic is the most reliable source of high quality traffic. High-quality visitors who are specifically looking for the products or services you sell.
FFA or Free For All link pages are considered low quality traffic sources. That is, people browse randomly, clicking on what looks interesting. You are not really looking for anything and it is very unlikely that you will buy anything. However, there is another role played by the FFAs. Mass FFA or Mass FFA create hundreds of links to your website. The number of links to your site is part of how Google and other search engines rank your site. The more links there are, the higher your ranking will be.
Now here's the problem. The traditional wisdom among webmasters, internet marketers, and internet gurus is that there are too many FFA links. Considered to be low quality links, they will get you banned from search engines.
In other words, the belief is that if Google thinks you are trying to improve your ranking by adding too many low-quality links, they will banner you.
So will they do it? My only answer has to be "not in my experience".
Here is a little story from my internet marketing journey. For a long time I have been wasting money on this Traffic Generation and Traffic Generation System ebook. I was getting a pittance of traffic from search engines and no traffic from Google. So I decided "what if I get banned". However I wasn't getting traffic from Google, how would the ban harm me?
I started doing FFA explosions 3 or more times a week and guess what? Google traffic. Not huge amounts in any way, but Google traffic nonetheless. Not just Google ether. Ask.com, yahoo and many more. A good amount of traffic from the FFA page too. So what am I saying here? Is simple. Nobody knows how google, yahoo or ask.com rank websites except google, yahoo or ask.com. Search engines, like any good business, are constantly changing and tweaking their ranking rules. These rules are secret. Any internet marketing guru who claims to have "cracked Google's code" is lying or working with old information. Don't believe it.
In my experience, making your internet presence as large as possible is the best strategy for generating traffic. Applying for FFA is the fastest and easiest way to do it.
If you're already making a living on Google's free traffic, great, don't change a thing. In fact, write an article so I can know your secrets. If you haven't had your first Google hit yet, start submitting FFAs. In my experience, only good things will come of it.
